Getting to Frankfurt Airport
Frankfurt Airport is one of the best-connected airports in Europe: rail, S-Bahn and two motorways lead directly to it. Whether you are coming from the Rhine-Main region, from across Germany or from neighbouring countries – here you will find the right way to reach FRA.
By S-Bahn (regional station)
S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 stop directly at the regional station below Terminal 1 (level 0), from which all terminal areas A, B and C are accessible. From Frankfurt Central Station you reach the airport in just around 12 minutes, with services running every 15 minutes during the day. The S8/S9 also connect the airport with Offenbach, Hanau, Rüsselsheim, Mainz and Wiesbaden.
By long-distance train (long-distance station / ICE)
The long-distance station offers direct IC and ICE connections from across Germany and neighbouring countries – meaning you can travel from many cities directly to the airport without changing trains. From the long-distance station you reach Terminal 1 in about 5 minutes on foot.

By car (A3, A5, B43)
By car you reach the airport via motorways A3 and A5 as well as federal road B43 – the Frankfurt motorway interchange is located directly at the airport. Follow the signs to the respective terminal (1 or 3) and to the appropriate car parks. For longer holidays, pre-booking a parking space is recommended.
